POETRY CONTEST RULES

1. Students must be in school (public, private or home school) in the United States or Canada.
2. Students can enter on their own or have a parent or teacher make their entry.
3. All entries must be in English and be the original work of the student.
4. Students can be in grades K-12 for the poetry contest.
5. You can write on any appropriate subject (No pro-violence, pro drugs, etc)
6. Poems cannot be over 21 lines of text (blank lines between stanzas are not counted).
7. Do not double space your entry.

In order to find your poem in the book, please enter the student's first and last name as you would like to have it in the index.
Be sure to use proper capitalization. If the student attends a detention center or adolescent treatment facility, you can just put
the student's last initial for the last name.
In all other cases, please put the student's complete first and last name.

EACH STUDENT CAN ENTER ONE POEM FOR EACH CONTEST. MULTIPLE ENTRIES MAY DISQUALIFY YOU FROM THE CONTEST.
